Etan Thomas the professional NBA basketball player for the Washington Wizards is known for his talents on the court and his community activism off the court. Etan has come along way since the days of fighting with Brendan Haywood. He has over come heart surgery and, he has published a book of poetry. Thomas is regular blogger on Huffington Post and has given speeches doing the 2008 presidential race in favor of Barack Obama.
Well, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Foundation of Prince George's County is having its annual Awards Dinner and Celebration on January 15 ,2009. Etan Thomas will receive a Legacy award at the event in honor of his Humanitarian efforts in the community and in the world.
