With Google and other larger search engines gathering alot of information, it is harder for smaller ethnic websites to float to the surfaces of the world wide web. Most people want their sites seen but may not have the money or knowledge to get it the top the list in a Google, Yahoo, AOL, Ask Jeves, or Dogpile search engine.

With this lack of knowledge, niche based searched engines are popping up over the web. One such site is African American Planet or http://www.webaap.com. African American Planet has embedded a search engine into its website. The search engine focuses on black content or African American based content. Unlike some other black search engines, which only show links and no full text searching can be done, webaap.com allows you to place full text query like Google to return results.

One should check out the site if they are looking for black focused websites with information or other internet information. African American Planet search engine could help them find sites not found before without having to digg for hours to find content useful to them in larger search engines.
