Community Network Keeps Hoop Dreams alive

The Hoop Dreams Scholarship Fund held its' thirteen annual three on three basketball tournament. This organization has helped one thousand students get into college and support them while the students are in college. The selection pool of students come from the District of Columbia. The students commit to a mentoring program and maintain good grades and ,Hoop Dreams commits to the students future.
Susie Kay appears to have developed a strong ability to network and, this networking ability has allowed her organization to survive for 13 years. A network can cross all social, ethnic and political boundaries. The web of people a person knows or influences is a major part of survival in the world today. Networking is a major element that the students learn while working through the mentoring program.
If we look at the foundation of a three on three basketball game, there are three individual that know each and working together to reach a common goal and , the goal is to win. While many of the participants in the three on three hope to win it all, they are really helping others win. The event helps support the students that have a strong desire to obtain a higher education but may not reach it with out the help of the Hoop Dreams organization.
